Welcome To Living Supercentenarians
This site is dedicated to verified living Supercentenarians (supercentenarians - people who have reached the age of at least 110 years). Our validated living supercentenarians list is updated daily with any changes that have been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). The GRG estimates that there are between 300 and 450 living supercentenarians worldwide.
The GRG lists people as verified super centenarians if their age has been validated by an international body that specifically deals in longevity research, and if they have been confirmed to be alive within the past year. Verification usually requires that three documents contain the same date of birth.
Currently there are 59 verified living supercentenarians and only 11 of these have been validated as being born in the 1800's.

Oldest Living Person
On December 27th 2012 Jiroemon Kimura became the oldest living man ever. On April 19 2012, Jiroemon Kimura celebrated his 115th birthday, making him the oldest man alive, not to mention the oldest man to ever earn the title of "oldest man alive". He is also one of only six men in the world to live past 114. A native of Kyoto, Japan, Kimura was lucky to survive the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that struck his town in 1927, killing more than 3,000 people.
